Combined Shows
ImageThe Novice Rising Star and Rookie of the Year event introduced in 2011 is a wonderful concept enabling competitors of a similar experience, knowledge and standard to field the stage together. However, since the concept was developed INBA has added 14 more events. To host all our 29 titles this year we realised an obvious possibility would be to combine suitable titles. As such, the Novice Rising Star will be combined with the Melbourne Show (May 6) and the Rookie of the Year will be combined with the Surfcoast Classic in Geelong (May 27). At the Melbourne Titles most divisions will therefore offer a Novice class - for competitors who have never competed before. At the Surfcoast Classic most divisions will offer a Rookie class - for competitors who have not competed more than 4 times in their life. The advantage of the splitting the Novice and Rookie show this way means Melbourne (and other City shows) Novice competitors can compete as Rookies weeks later at the Surfcoast Classic and not have to compete against highly experienced competitors in just their second show. We actually like this idea a lot!
MOTM January - Obi Akintaju
ImageOur first Member of the Month for 2012 is Obi Akintaju. Originally from Nigeria, "The King" has gone through his first two years of competition virtually undefeated. From winning his first Novice title in 2009 to taking out the Amateur Natural Universe Championships last year. The crown of victory sits comfortable on this relaxed and happy King. Long reign The King!
INBA Achievement Medallion
ImageOur 2012 Achievement Medallion has just been minted in 24KT gold plating and comes with an extra wide deep purple satin ribbon! The two-sided Achievement Medallion is awarded only to competitors who place outside the Top 3 at all qualifying events leading up the the Australian Titles. Glorious acknowledgement that everyone who gets to the contest day and stage, like anyone who finishes a marathon, has completed a remarkable milestone and their placing does not reduce the achievement.
Banned 4 Life
ImageINBA Australia have issued a LIFE ban under our Misconduct Regulation to competitor Oskars Sarkins for returning both a positive drug test for an anabolic steroid and failing on multiple substances.

Additionally, under our WADA Anti- Doping Policy the competitor receives a two year ban from competing in all sports and organisations that carry a WADA Policy against drug use.

INBA websites worldwide will publish the information.

ASADA have notified all media outlets with the following Release:

The Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) today acknowledged the decision of the International Natural Bodybuilding Association (INBA) to impose a two-year sporting ban on Oskars Sarkans for the presence and use of several prohibited substances. Metabolites of stanozolol (anabolic agent), metabolites of tamoxifen (hormone antagonist and modulator), Hydrochlorothiazide (diuretic), and Amiloride (diuretic) were detected in a sample ASADA collected in-competition from Mr Sarkans at the INBA’s Brisbane Natural Classic on 29 May 2011.

Mr Sarkans’s ban means he is ineligible to participate, as an athlete or support person, in any sport that has adopted a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) compliant anti-doping policy until 22 July 2013. Anabolic agents pose many threats to an athlete’s health and some side effects may include an increase in blood pressure and cholesterol levels which can lead to heart disease. Liver disease and infertility can also result from the use of these agents.

Hormone antagonists and modulators are often used in an attempt to prevent some of the side effects of anabolic agent use and to increase testosterone levels. They can also cause their own side effects such as liver toxicity.

Under WADA’s Prohibited List, anabolic agents and hormone antagonists and modulators are prohibited at all times (both in- and out-of-competition).

Any athlete unaware of their responsibilities are advised to seek additional information online at www.asada.gov.au.

Image

New WA President – Sam Attrill
ImageSam Attrill was today announced the new INBA State President for Western Australia. In doing so, INBA would like to express our gratitude to Mark Lucey for his time and effort devoted to running the INBA WA titles over the past years. In appointing Sam to her new WA role INBA is excited to have an energised and successful INBA female competitor (2009 Natural Olympia Master's Champion) progress onwards in the organisation and are looking forward to her drive and vision creating positive improvements for Natural competitors in WA. “I am so excited to be able to join the highly successful promotional team of INBA Australia and look forward to enhancing the Federation here in WA. I was proud to be an INBA competitor and am now as proud to take the reigns in Perth as WA State President for the INBA. I look forward to creating my first show, the INBA Perth Classic in May 2012.” Anyone interesting in becoming part of the new look INBA WA Team or wish to get information on competing in 2012, please contact Sam on 0403 165 496 or go to ‘CONTACT US’ page for her direct email link.
MOTM December - Megan Groves
ImageMember of the Month for December is Megan Groves who has shot to fame over the last two competition seasons creating a platform for herself as The INBA Female Bodybuilding SuperStar. Megan has been in untouchable condition during 2011 winning every title placed before her. It’s no secret female bodybuilding was on its knees in recent years with few competitors anywhere. So has 2011 been its pivotal point? Several old and new faces have brought quality physiques to the stage and a strong team of five female bodybuilders represented Australia at the 2011 Natural Olympia. With Megan as an acclaimed superstar, and many good physiques chasing her, we now have strong role models for muscular girls in natural bodybuilding. Are we witnessing a refreshed, energised era for female natural bodybuilding? Read Megan’s profile and story about how she got to the top by clicking on the MOTM page.
Supplement Rule of Thumb
ImageWith the rise of unintentional positive drug tests from competitors using supplements containing banned substances (whether listed or unlisted on the label) its an appropriate time to remind competitors about the risks they should be aware of. Firstly WADA has now taken the stance that positive tests arising from supplement use has occurred for so long that competitors should know the risk and therefore lesser penalties will not be issued. Also, it is assumed the only reason an athlete would use a supplement during competition is to enhance performance. In summary, there is no sympathy for an athlete failing a drug test taking a (tainted) supplement when they are competing. INBA competitors should apply a simple rule: Stop all supplements 5 days prior to competing to remove the possibility of returning an adverse drug test from any tainted product.
Positive Drug Test Outcomes
ImageDuring 2011 INBA sanctioned the following athletes for 2 years for returning adverse drug test results occuring in 2010 events. Robert Berridge on 26 September 2010 at the NSW INBA Physique Titles returned an adverse analytical finding for 1,3-dimethylpentylamine. Christine Zadel on 26 September 2010 at the NSW INBA Physique Title returned an adverse analytical finding for clenbuterol. Aaron Curtis on 2 October 2010 at the Victorian INBA Physique Titles returned an adverse analytical finding for 1, 3-dimethylpentylamine. Bill Cairns on 9 October 2010 at the INBA Australian Titles returned an adverse analytical finding for 1,3-dimethylpentylamine.
NEW! Member of the Month (MOTM)
ImageINBA is immersed with wonderful people and competitors and to recognise them as true Ambassadors of Natural Bodybuilding we have created a new page on inba.com.au where we reveal some finer details about them and give them overdue publicity as INBA Member of the Month! Our inaugural MOTM is O/60 competitor Ian Nordahl who has racked up some mega frequent flyer points traveling to every INBA international event abroad to represent Australia.
2012 European/World Titles - Prague
ImageNow the 2011 contest calendar has concluded with our final international event...it is time to think, dream and plan your trip/s overseas next year :) The first of 3 international events Team Australia will attend is the INBA European/World Championship June 30 in Prague as the grand finale to Season A. Most airlines are running their pre 2012 sales now and Qantas have flights currently for $2200. Anyone who or will place Top 5 in an Australian event is eligible to compete as part of Team Australia. The 2012 All Female Titles have been brought forward to June so competitors can do both shows. Just a little background on Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. It is situated on the Vltava river and is home to approximately 2.5 million inhabitants. During 1100 years of its existence, the city grew from a settlement stretching from Prague Castle in the north to the fort of Vyšehrad in the south, becoming the multicultural capital of a modern European state, the Czech Republic, a member state of the European Union. Nicknames for Prague have included "city of a hundred spires", "the golden city", the "mother of all cities", and "the heart of Europe". Since 1992, the historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of world heritage sites. Prague is a popular destination for over 4 million tourists each year and contains one of the world's most pristine and varied collections of architecture, from Art Nouveau to Baroque, Cubist, Gothic, Neo-Classical and ultra-modern.
Justin Firgaira INTEGRITY
ImageAustralia's Natural SuperStar Justin Firgaira was honoured by the INBA with his image been printed on the Natural Olympia banner "INTEGRITY". Justin won both the 2010 Australian and Amateur Natural Olympia titles and in 2011 was runner-up in the Pro Natural Universe and Natural Olympia as well as receiving the “Most Muscular” Award at the Natural O. Congratulation Champ - pictured Justin doing his mini-me in front of the towering INTEGRITY stage-banner!
Natural Olympia Results
ImageINBA competitor Denise Deliseo receives her star-attention from Wayne McDonald (L) and Denny Kakos (R) after winning the Overall Master's Bodybuilding Title at the 2011 Natural Olympia. Go to the Results page to see the placings for the Australian Team at the Reno event.
Master's Professional Natural Olympia
ImageAustralia’s Bryce Cleary (L) was in an absorbing battle with South Africa’s Howard Cladingbowl (R) at the 2011 Natural Olympia (Howard alternates each year competing in Powerlifting and Bodybuilding). So evenly matched it seemed every minute on stage their position could switch. Happily, Australia’s Bryce Cleary was ahead at the critical decision making times and brought home both the Open Natural Olympia Class 2 and inaugural Master’s PRO Championship Titles. The addition of Master PRO Men at this year’s Natural O was an immediate success and knowing this age group often produces the biggest and competitive quality line-ups in Naturals, INBA expects the Master’s PRO division to become a major feature at the future Natural Olympia’s. Remember our exciting new Australian Dual Membership Policy allows competitors in Team Australia to step up and compete in a PRO class at an international show - without changing your amateur status in Australia. So Master guys, competing in your own PRO class at the Natural Olympia is now available - here at INBA!
Joel Ramintas - Mr Natural Olympia
ImageI don’t currently have a picture worthy to show how perfect Joel looked tonight winning the 2011 Natural Olympia. It is hard to describe what has turned out to be a most successful Day One for Australia. Firstly the clean sweep of female bodybuilding, Australian competitors raising their own bar, Australian competitors accepting and taking responsibility for their own outcomes – most graphically demonstrated by the changes Bryce Cleary made in his physique from previously doing ‘good’ in the Masters to smashing the World Champion from France in his Open Height class tonight and finally to Joel Ramintas....who first competed in the 2001 Hawaii Natural Olympia after winning his first, of four, Mr Australia’s only to watch Warren Clampit, Tim Martin and Justin Firgaira passed him and take a Natural Olympia title. I have witnessed Joel’s disappointment as he failed at the last hurdle over the past decade. Yet, every time he came back. A life lesson in determination and preservance so rare in our modern world. So tonight, I had the awesome pride to see him chosen First by every judge around the world. This confirmed to me that sometimes accomplishing your dream in life is not easy, but that is no excuse to ever stop. Joel Ramintas, your victory was the most special moment I have seen in 21 years in the sport. 2011 was your time and will remain so - enjoy! For all result of the Australian Team go the Natural Olympia page.

COMETH THY CONTEST, COMETH THE INBA CHAMPIONS!

Australian Title Record
ImageWhat an amazing record of 228 competitors at the 2011 Australian Titles with large Teams representing every State and Territory of Australia! INBA is humbled by the response and would like to thank every competitor for making such a huge effort and sacrifice to get to Melbourne. The fact many line-ups consisted of 20 quality competitors provided an awesome opportunity to compete amongst an elite field, the rarity of such an experience will make this Australian Championships one that will be remembered and treasured. Congratulations to the Champions that prevailed on the day: Joel Ramintas in picture (SA) Overall Mr Australia, Janet Kane (VIC) Overall Ms Figure Australia, Megan Groves (QLD) Overall Ms Physique Australia and Hattie Boydle (NSW) Overall SportsModel Australia.

INBA Promoter’s Division
ImageThat’s right! INBA Promoters are leaping on stage to compete – against each other. At the Victorian Big V Event in Show One at the Moonee Valley Race Course on September 11th, it going to be SA Vs QLD in the 2011 INBA Promoter’s Division. SA President Kim Tanska and QLD President Jason Woodforth, have entered the inaugural INBA Promoter’s division! It’s going to be like Predator Vs Alien (in slow motion)! Congratulations to both Promoters! Next year, we hope to see many more INBA Promoters and Officials on stage and to have a Female Promoter Division too. INBA boasts 12 promoters and many more Officials who are very excited about the sport but competing is difficult when the Shows are on we are working 24/7, but no more excuses now. We hope plenty of competitors come along to cheer the ‘pencil pushers’!

INBA World Cup Report
ImageINBA World Cup Report just in from Lecco, Italy (July 2) by Australian Competitor, Ian Nordahl. (Pictured is Ian with Wayne McDonald at the 2010 World Cup in Hollywood USA)
If you’ve ever thought about competing internationally or would just like a reminder about the perils and adventures of competing overseas - try a 35 hour, go to whoa, travel time from Australia to Italy! Makes the Natural Olympia USA trip seem like a jaunt. Had lunch in a restaurant yesterday. Waiter was horrified I did not want pasta and absolutely mortified I didn't want red wine with my steak! He refused to accept a tip on payment, obviously felt he had failed his profession.

2011 National Championships
ImageIn idyllic timing for our milestone 21st Australian Titles, INBA celebrates the ultimate success as an organisation becoming the first bodybuilding Federation to host events in every State and Territory of Australia! Please study our Contest Calendar to plan which of twenty (20) events you wish to traverse this year. It is a significant development for the sport to finally offer the same opportunities for every natural competitor to participate in one organisation Australia-wide. Moreso, we are excited to reach this high point during a celebration year. As an INBA Member and Competitor your results at the 2011 Australian Titles will bestow to you a genuine Australian ranking like other established Australian sports. Notwithstanding in 2011 INBA also celebrates by purchasing the rights to host the oldest Natural Bodybuilding Title in the World - the Natural Universe. Bringing the event to Australia (Brisbane October 22 & 23) enables our Members to participate in this prestigious international event during our landmark year. Moreover, after an incredibly successful Natural Olympia in Reno (Nevada, USA) last year, it returns to Reno once again in 2011. Please take this special opportunity to represent Australia as part of our 2011 Australian Team - whether you compete only at the Natural Universe or take the opportunity of a strong Australia dollar and cheap airfare to America to also participate in the pinnacle of Natural Bodybuilding, INBA Natural Olympia. I promise, you’ll be glad you did.
2011 FIT Natural Universe
ImageINBA QLD are honoured to have received the Naming Rights backing from Fitness Industry Training (FIT). Not only have FIT secured the Natural Universe Rights but also the Brisbane and Queensland Naming Rights for 2011. FIT is a great mix with INBA as so many Natural competitors are either Personal Trainers or aspiring to join the industry or upgrade their knowledge. Fitness Industry Training (FIT), proud supporters of INBA, have firmly established themselves as leaders in the fitness industry who deliver the Certificate III and IV in Fitness. The team at FIT are passionate about creating a new generation of Personal Trainers that don’t just count reps, but change people’s lives. Go to www.f-i-t.com.au to start living the dream today!

ImageINBA is jubilant to release the identity of the Event Photographer for the 2011 All Female Muscle & Fitness Classic on 2nd July. Mariya Mova will be shooting the girls on stage. You may have already seen her polished work been posted on facebook by numerous fitness models or bodybuilding shots in Ironman magazine. Competitors will be thrilled to know that Mariya has an abundance of competition experience herself with credentials that includes competing in the 2009 IFBB Olympia. Notwithstanding she knows the stage and how to frame a competitor’s best look, Mariya simply has the talent to take a great contest photo! This year’s competitors will be in raptures with the results. Just $35 will secure all the photographs of you and your division on stage (select the option on the entry form). Mariya is also available for other photographic work away from the stage www.movafoto.com
New Computerised Judging System
ImageIn a World’s first for bodybuilding, INBA are deploying our newly developed sport-specific scoring program in 2011. This is identical to what you see at the Olympia Games for other (subjectively) scored sports such as Gymnastics and Diving. The system provides each judge with their own e-scoring device. This increases impartial scoring as each judge uploads their score for a division without the need for score-cards to be “passed along the table” or collected and tabulated by someone. Additionally using a network computerised system eliminates the possibility of human error when scores are re-entered into an overall tally sheet (paper method). Moreover, using the ‘old’ paper system took a long time! The length and presentation of a bodybuilding event was totally controlled by how and when the scored could be tallied - hence original the sport ran two shows; Prejudging and then come back for the Finals once the scores were completed. Now, in the time it takes to press a button, the results are available. Not least, this technology allows INBA to gain more information and statistics on both the competitor and judges performance. For decades now, INBA has continuously worked on ways to make the running of each and every INBA contest smoother, more seamless, entertaining, and faster. The development of our new wireless network scoring to be incorporated in our larger events during 2011 is the ultimate tool which can improve both the scoring process and show presentation.
INBA has Grrrl Power!
ImageINBA is riding a surge in success and growth thanks in a substantial way to the valuable addition of women stepping into key roles in the organisation. Kay Wiseman is our first President and Promoter in the Northern Territory, Jodie Sewell is Promoting our new TROPIX Nth QLD show, Sarah Woodforth is taking a greater role in QLD promotions and Maria Andriano is doing extensive promotions for NSW. Women stepping into fundamental positions add more ideas and balance in the organisation. It was a key strategy for INBA to have females in crucial positions as INBA has the highest female membership and the All Female Muscle & Fitness Classic, Australia's only female exclusive contest is testament to this. The results and energy these women have produced in a short period of time has INBA excited about our future as they flex their capabilities. Pictured is INBA O/50 Champion and NT President Kay Wiseman on stage the 2009 Natural Olympia.
Tasmania to Team Again!
Image

INBA Tasmanian State Titles finally make a welcome return! Tasmania has produced a plethora of Natural competitors and champions over recent years, so we are confident our Titles can stay an annual event with the right support behind the show. So today we confirmed the prestigious location for the INBA Tasmanian Titles at the Country Club Tasmania, Launceston. The event will be hosted in the Mount Pleasant Showroom which is a tiered auditorium, and the premier conference and entertainment venue seating 400 spectators in comfort. The state of the art lighting and sound system, in-room bar facilities and amenities add to the event pleasantries! Please let family and friends know well in advance to keep Sunday afternoon available on September 25th to watch, support and enjoy Tasmania’s best Natural physiques.

For those traveling to the event, the Country Club Tasmania is a true country retreat, just a few minutes out of Launceston. On site luxury accommodation includes 4 to 5-star manor suites, deluxe rooms and self-contained villas at nearby Country Club Villas. Enjoy your own private balcony and deep spa in the manor suites or views over the championship golf course in a deluxe room. Choose from five restaurants, four bars and live entertainment! It sounds like a great time no matter what your priorities are on the weekend!

Natural Universe World Turnout
ImageIts very exciting to hear from international competitors who are already booking their trips to QLD for the Natural Universe! Pictured is Aluko Omlolu competing from Africa. A Major Sponsor and Host Accommodation for the Natural Universe were recently confirmed, so the dedicated Natural Universe Page on our website will start posting event information as early as next week. International competitors requiring assistance to get a visa to Australia to compete should send an email to us at Head Office and we will supply you with the required official documentation, visa request and invitation from INBA Australia.
International Natural Bodies Magazine
ImageIssue 2 (February 2011) of International Natural Bodies Magazine (INBM), the new INBA online magazine features QLD’s Michael Waddington on the cover and feature story. To read the INBM new issue each month, and get an insight into INBA athletes from around the world, go to www.naturalbodybuilding.com and click on the MAGAZINE button. Aussie Waddington has placed second to Kyoshi Moody in the PRO Natural Olympia and PRO Natural Universe the last two years. While Kyoshi has stood in his way I don’t expect for much longer as Mike Waddington is the fastest improving PRO Natural competitor in the world today. Although Kyoshi still has him on size….Waddington nails his opposition to the wall on condition. Another year of gains for a hungry, hard-trainer like Mike could be enough!
Tim Martin: New Compere
ImageINBA have added another string to our Event Presentation in Victoria with the announcement of a new compere. Natural Olympia Champion, Tim Martin, will be compering our events in 2011. We are always excited when a competitor in the INBA Family wishes to pursue a different role within the organisation. Tim is a world class competitor who speaks wonderfully well and INBA thinks he has great potential in the position of Compere. There is no doubting that instruction (and possible praise) by a Champion competitor who is battle-wise and knowledgeable about everything happening in and around a competitor is a real bonus to those doing the hard yards on stage. I’m sure competitors will get more from their contest experience thanks to the addition of Tim to the Team. And to expand on this concept, INBA is always keen to hear from anyone wishing to get more involved within the organisation. Don’t think because INBA is already a highly competent organisation that we are not interested in adding you to our team! We offer events in every State and Territory of Australia so if you have a skill or always wanted to help promote or participate in the running of this rapidly rising sport please contact your State President under ‘Contact Us’ on the website.
TROPIX Nth Qld New Contest
ImageNorth Queensland TROPIX Titles. INBA Qld is expanding! We proudly welcome a female promoter into INBA and the launch of a third event for Queenslanders! We are excited to announce the inaugural INBA Nth Qld Tropix Titles to be hosted on Sunday September 18th at Jupiters Casino Townsville. Tropix will be co promoted by Jodie Sewell and Jason Woodforth. Jodie has worked alongside Jason's at all his INBA QLD events over the past 4 years, including the highly detailed events like the 2008 Australian Titles and 2009 Natural Olympia. INBA ASIA
ImageINBA is thrilled to officially announce INBA ASIA has been established and will operate from our new Asian hub in Seoul, South Korea. With the proximity of Australia to Asia, this development adds significant opportunities and excitement to future events for Australian competitors, as the potential and scope of natural bodybuilding expands through the 28 neighbouring Asian countries. With the Natural Universe in Brisbane later this year we hope to see the Asian competitors come downunder as well as compete in the Natural Olympia for the first time. Combine this with the simultaneous expansion of INBA in South America, INBA’s recognistion as the world-wide leaders in Natural Bodybuilding continues to gain pace. The future looks more and more exciting every competition season. Novice Rising Star/Rookie of the Year
Image

INBA Australia have created another wonderful innovation in the sport; an event designed solely for those who are just beginning in the sport and those who have limited experience or genetics. The show is for Novice (never competed) and Rookie (competed in 1-3 contests) competitors. Our core aim is to provide competitors with a thoroughly enjoyable contest experience; which makes them enthusiastic and competitive so they can continue in the sport and if you are a Novice competitor this time – the event stays alive as you can come back the following year as a Rookie. The concept offers competitors the opportunity to enjoy the contest limelight - regardless of your modest experience, short training preparation or genetic potential. It allows newbies a ‘fair crack’ without fear of standing next to a seasoned competitor. For Trainers, it provides a contest-level which offers clients a less-intimidating competition environment for them to ‘set the ultimate goal’ and put their hard work, dieting, transformation and such to the ultimate challenge of stepping on stage and putting their work on show to their family and friends. The first Novice Rising Star and Rookie of the Year Championships will be held in Melbourne at the Glen Eira Auditorium on Saturday April 30th. Entry forms are online with full event information.

2011 Natural Universe in Australia
Image
In 2011, for the first time ever on Australia soil, INBA will host the Natural Universe. The oldest bodybuilding title has finally left America and Natural Universe Promoter (Australian Vice-President), Jason Woodforth has promised to deliver an Event Extravaganza in Brisbane. Top 5 in any INBA domestic event provisionally qualify for the 2011 Natural Universe. The provision is competitors must complete their qualification by competing in the Australian titles (except Queensland competitors). By allotting a provisional qualification to the Natural Universe in Australia we are offering competitors sufficient time to plan their year ahead, take advantage of travel deals or book frequent flyer points well inadvance, and make an early request if they need any days off work. Note: your placing at the Australian Titles does not affect your qualification to enter the Natural Universe. So mark these early details into your 2011 contest calendar: Natural Universe, October 22 & 23 at the Sleeman Centre in Chandler (Brisbane).

For Australians, the Top 3 in any 2011 INBA domestic event provisionally qualify for the Natural Olympia. The provision is competitors must complete their qualification by competing in the Australian titles. By allotting a provisional qualification to the Natural Olympia in America we are offering competitors sufficient time to plan their year ahead, take advantage of travel deals or book frequent flyer points well inadvance, and make an early request for time away from work.

Justin Firgaira INBA Natural Superstar
ImageAustralia’s Justin Firgaira accomplished every Natural Bodybuilders dream in Reno, Nevada taking out the crown of Overall Amateur 2010 Natural Olympia. Justin took nine years to take his first INBA Overall Australian Title in 2010 but it only took him 2 steps in Reno to win the Natural O. Justin’s condition, powerhouse physique, posing and presentation was flawless and within a few steps into the stage lights we knew we were looking at the 2010 Natural Mr O. It is obvious every lesson he learnt from been so close to victory for the Australian Titles has strengthened his competitiveness in any line up. Justin looked great at the 2010 Australia but I could say he improved a further two per cent for the Natural O. A faction of improvement on a champion physique creates a whole new competitor and that is how Justin looked in Reno. We now saw Justin Firgaira as an undeniable world champion; a competitor who has set the new standard to others to reach. Congratulations Justin from every INBA member for representing and presenting Australia with such impact in the toughest field of natural bodybuilding.
Jason Woodforth Australian Vice-President
ImageINBA Australia takes great pride in appointing QLD President, Jason Woodforth to the office of INBA Australian Vice-President as of today. Jason’s elevation in the organisation is recognition of his outstanding promotion and achievements in Natural bodybuilding. Jason’s specialty is bringing innovation into the sport, taking bodybuilding events, promotion, competitor satisfaction and INBA to an exciting new level. Jason’s record-breaking support, speak volumes about how the competitors enjoy the experience they have on contest day. Attracting a world record 352 competitors to the 2009 Natural Olympia hosted on the Gold Coast, and Australian record of 187 competitors entered his latest State show. Large competitor numbers only allow Jason to be more creative; introducing a new show format (2 x One Show) and eliminating posing routines. Risky moves that broke new ground in the sport. Such modernisation of Natural Bodybuilding, novel improvements and originality is the hall-mark of a great leader, and one INBA is proud to have.
