• Won a division at a State title and did not compete in the Australian Titles.

Invitation:

To receive an INBA Invitation to compete at the Australian Titles the competitor must satisfy two criteria. Invitations are rarely granted:

i) The competitor must be of Australian standard.
ii) Have a reason why the competitor is unable to compete and qualify.

It is considered that if a competitor avoids competing in order to qualify they have an unfair advantage - they only have to peak once. Reasons accepted in the past, include they were needed to act in an official capacity - i.e. a judge, or they were competing elsewhere on the same day.

Eligibility:

To compete in the Australian titles, INBA Members must be an Australian citizen or have a working or residency visa for Australia. However, only Australian citizens or aliens who have lived in Australia for the past five years can win and receive the title of INBA Mr/Ms Australia and represent Australia. If a non Australian citizen possessing the work/residency visa required to compete does win the Australian championship, they will be given the Overall Australian Title and the runner up will be awarded the Mr/Ms Australia title and represent Australia.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Drug free for a minimum of five (5) years prior to the contest.
Agree to drug testing at any time and any number of times.
A current member of the INBA.
Must have qualified (see Above) or received an INBA invitation.

SHOW FORMAT
The Australian Titles format will consist of 2 x One Show events with half the divisions run in the first show followed by the rest of the divisions in the second show. This format means competitors will be judged and presented with their placing and awards at the same time - there is no need to come back and prepare again later in the day. For spectators this big show is halved so those who have come to watch someone especially will not have to sit through the entire event. Judging will remain the same, comprising of Round One (Symmetry) and Round Two (Muscularity). Due to the large number of competitors only the Top 3 placegetters will have the option to perform their routine. However, as the routine does not count towards your placing, performing your routine is not compulsory. If you do wish to perform your routine (if you place Top 3) please bring your CD to registration.

REGISTRATION
Registration will be held on Friday (08/10) at Bell St Fitness, 96 Bells Street, Coburg, between 3 – 7 PM. Competitors who can not make it to main registration can register on the day at the time below. However we stress you avoid this at all costs because we have limited staff to efficiently process registration if a large number of competitors attempt to register on contest day at the venue. Show One competitors can register between 10 – 10.45 AM. Show Two competitors can register between 10.45 – 11.30 AM

BACKSTAGE
Due to the large number of competitors we will restrict the number of backstage helpers. If Trainers have multiple competitors (3+) entering the event, they may apply to have access backstage prior. Since it is procedure at International events to not allow any backstage helpers, you need to prepare yourself to be self-reliant or plan your preparations with fellow competitors. Weights are not provided, so we encourage you to bring "stretch bands" to pump up - as developing a pump-up routine using these will also assist when competing at International events. You can apply for a backstage pass for a helper at registration is you require such. However, access at all times is at the discretion of the INBA.

EVENT FORMAT
Times given are only estimated times your division will be on stage. Please understand it is impossible to know how long each division will take to judge. At the Event we may have an updated schedule.

OPTIONAL INDIVIDUAL POSING ROUTINE & MUSIC
Only competitors who place in the Top 3 have the option to perform their posing routine – if they elect to do so. For those wishing to perform their routine (if they place in the Top 3) please post your CD so it arrives prior to September 30th. Post your CD to Bell St Fitness, 96 Bell St, Coburg, 3058 - include your name, event and division. Your posing CD should be a copy (not original) and only have one track – your posing music. We use a computerised software program to play your music via laptop; this should eliminate any fault with your music playing on the day. However, keep a “back-up” CD of your music backstage with you in case. Note: Mixed pairs are judged on their routines!

DRUG TESTING
The Australian Titles will be comprehensively screened by ASADA using urine analysis. A competitor producing a positive result on their A sample will be provisional disqualified and not allowed to compete at the Natural Olympia. Cheating in INBA events is a serious offence and harsh penalties apply.

OVERALL AUSTRALIAN TITLE
INBA is offering the chance for each division winner to compete for the Overall Australian Title. If you win your division in Show One, this will mean you need to return for Show Two. However, it is not compulsory to compete in the Overall.

AUSTRALIAN PRIZES
Two (2) Overall Champions will receive $1,000 Travel Award to compete at the Natural Olympia. The Male award will go to the Overall Mr Australia. The Female award will be provided to the Overall Australian Ms Figure.

AUSTRALIAN TEAM
By qualifying for the 2010 Australian Titles competitors also provisionally qualified for the Natural Olympia and only have to compete at the Australian event to fulfil this provision. At the Australian Titles we will have the Australian Team Uniform available for purchase.
